AKTUALIZATION!

I don’t often high­light any on of my illus­tra­tions over other ones except when I feel I have latched on to my next vision com­ple­tely as far as depth , cla­rity and one of those jumps an artist makes as the evolve their craft. This image came out fan­tas­tic in this depart­ment. It is tit­led ‘AKTUA­LI­ZA­TION!” which in many ways makes sense.

I always tit­led my work before crea­ting the image as a way of set­ting the inten­tion for the piece, and then I go to work illus­tra­ting the way I see things. I have been on this rea­lity and per­cep­tion unfol­ding action for a while now. If you where not aware of it, all of my illus­tra­tions are com­pose of actual pho­tos that I mirror image each ele­ment and then put all together to create another being of some sort. My view is that say you look at a plant or ani­mal there is allot our minds fil­ter out based on our con­di­tio­ning of what is ‘real’. By mirro­ring each com­po­nent is a way of ‘unfol­ding’ the mul­ti­ple rea­li­ties sit­ting right in front of us. The ‘flip’ is a ‘unfol­ding’ action. Can you see what types of pho­tos I flip­ped to make this illus­tra­tion? I love in all-​​ways pushing my per­cep­tions and sha­ring it with you all!
